Subbora grew up in the artistically diverse city of Washington, D.C. where she was inspired to create works that caused interactions between people and her art pieces. In many of her visits to the Smithsonian, Corcoran, and Metropolitan Museum’s she observed art viewers generally going from painting to painting and spending a little time with each. Subbora wanted to create interactive work that would get reactions from a diverse audience. Art evokes emotion and when viewed twice or in different directions, this work could have many interpretations while engaging people in conversation.
